...this weekend. Catching a slew of movies at the New York Film Festival, as well as the exhibition of Dutch paintings at the Met.
And if that doesn't reduce you to a blancmange of quivering jealousy, consider what I'm taking along with me for light reading - the new Philip Roth[1].
See you Monday.
[1] Okay, okay, so I know plenty of critics have panned the book. But it's still the new Roth. More - it's the new Zuckerman.

i'd watch the hou hsiao-hsien (which has juliette binoche!) and the sokhurov if i were you...and you'd better come through with lots of reviews!
The Hou Hsiao-hsien is indeed worth watching, though he doesn't seem completely comfortable shooting in Paris. Binoche is good, but by far the most expressive performer is the balloon.
Space Bar: I can't. They're the next weekend. I was torn between going this weekend or going the next one (I wanted to watch the Breillat as well) but finally this one worked out better.
But yes, reviews will happen, definitely.
'the man from london' - is that on your list-to-watch?
Falstaff-- is the RSS feed on your blog working properly? I'm subscribed through RSS Forward to get the post directly in my inbox; but I don't seem to be getting updates from your site.
The Dutch masters too!
Billions of billious barbecued blue blistering barnacles!
