Of shoes -- and ships -- and sealing wax --
Of cabbages -- and kings --
And why the sea is boiling hot --
And whether pigs have wings.

That's some fine verse./And nice timing too - I just finished reading a collection of poems by the Japanese poet Issa. //BM - birthday?
@falsie: I didn't realize you were really writing a haiku about it. :) but the trees outside my window in full blossom are a much more definite sign that a year has passed, than any ball dropping, fireworks or champagne pops. you look out and it stares back at you. while you helplessly look and wonder how can the blossoms be back, so soon. :(@SB: woman! you are kind of awwwing at my life here. (not sure how to take that).@km: not my bday. but a couple of those have been going around. ahem ahem.. many people we know in blogistan have turned wiser recently.
Wise people in blogistan? Getouttahere.

SB: You know me. I'm all about the shock and awwww!km: good collection? bm: but of course. You can't give me an idea for a haiku and expect me not to write it.And now you remember.also, that's not a list of wise fellows. That's a list of wiseguys.
