The 2005 Booker shortlist is out. Ishiguro made it, but all the other novels I've read from the longlist so far didn't. This means I now have five other novels to get through before the end of the month. Sigh!
Can't say I disagree with Ishiguro being shortlisted (see my review here) but I can't believe that McEwan's Saturday didn't make it - am only half way through it, but already think it's the best of the six or so books from the longlist I've read.
Oh, well - it's not like McEwan really needs the recognition.
